As a one-woman show over here, I sometimes go a little crazy with lack of human contact. Spending most of your days alone, editing in front of a computer will do that to you! In order to make sure that I remember how to speak proper sentences to real live humans, I make it a point to reach out to other self-employed folks who might be interested in getting together for coffee, or in putting together a shoot that showcases our talents. This photo shoot is the product of one of those meetings, and it turned out to be a beautiful collaboration with a crew of women from around the San Francisco Bay.
I teamed up with the sisters behind the Alt Brides pop-up bridal shop to showcase some of their inventory. They showed me all the beautiful dresses they sell from a truck at various places around the Bay (seriously, I love their idea), and after I finished drooling over how perfect every dress was, we set into motion what eventually became the images below. We brought in the amazing hair/makeup artist, April Foster, florals from Studio Mondine, and jewelry from Shelly of Harp Designs. SO MUCH GOODNESS ALL AROUND. I LOVE ALL OF THESE WOMEN.
This day was so much fun, and the perfect send off for me from Bay Area life! More on that at the bottom of this post. First, look through all these beautiful images and then scroll to the bottom for the credits on designers and links to everyone. Thanks to Ellie & Leala for being such lovely models to work with!

This shoot happened all of two weeks before I moved from Oakland, CA, to NYC! So sad to leave such an amazing community, BUT I am excited to make new relationships in a new city. SO- if you know or anyone you know in NYC is interested in collaborating, let me know. Would love to make some new friends and create some work together! Or just hang out. Because really guys, I need some friends here. :)
